Day 8 of Majikoi S Trial Version's translation

Definitely over the 50% mark on translation, but the Translator is asleep, so we won't be getting those numbers and percentages until later. Sorry.

I was able to unpack that script.pac file, however. Can't re-pack it yet (as far as I know), but we're getting somewhere. Thanks to that anonymous dude in the comments for showing me that program.

  2. Yo here's something else that might help http://zbspac.googlecode.com/files/zbspac-M3.1-bin.7z

It's a tool I found for repacking .pac files specifically for Nexas engine the one majikoi s use.

    1. Sadly, doesn't seem to work for Majikoi S PAC files. :( Looks like it's for the versions Baldr Sky and Baldr Force EXE run on.

I tried to unpack script.pac of Majikoi S trial with it and got this:

      F:\ms\Script>zbspac unpack script.pac
      Unpacking package: F:\ms\Script\script.pac
      To Directory: F:\ms\Script\script
ERROR: This PAC variant is not supported yet.
      ERROR: Unpacking Failed.

    2. The thing closes as soon as I open it, how do you use this thing?
Also, if this thing can pack stuff into .pac file, than that would be great, since we can unpack with the crass and pack it with this.

    3. You need to use it from the command prompt. How to use it is in the instructions.txt file. However, it can only create .pac files in Baldr Sky format and Baldr Force EXE format. So this won't help.

Oh, and the scripts, you'll need a separate app to convert the various .bin files to .txt files as well before you can edit them to begin with. Again, this tool won't help, as it's for different versions of NeXAS. :(

    4. Ah, I see, command prompt...
This is getting more complicated, we're just a two people, and neither of us know anything about hacking or programming...

    5. Isn't there a way to directly contact a person at Yandere Translations, I wonder.
If it seems impossible to get the stuff into the game, why not try an external approach like the example I posted in the previous post's comment section?

    6. Translator Aggregator?
I guess we'll try that when the editor wakes up, I just hope that it's not too complicated

    7. That was just one method. It's easy to use, but not very user friendly if you're to distribute a translation. However, it can work as a proof of concept of your translation.
To make things easier, however, a simple program can be coded to grab Japanese text from the clipboard (placed there by ITH which will have to be running alongside Majikoi S) and display the corresponding English text. It's just one way to make the translation work in case you can't find a way to get the text into the game.

    8. We'll keep that in mind, in case we don't find a way to get the text in the game.
We're still at 60% so I'll just do the translation for now, and worry about that later.

    9. Good luck with that! If you can do it all, it would be amazing. ^_^
