Only the margit route editing already took 1 month which is week 9 till week 13 so dont get your hopes too high or you will get disappointed. And i think the qc and final check will take quite one more week even after the editing is finished based on the monshiro route.

No, I'm not upset or anything, and I'm not desperate either. I'm grateful that someone is translating this at all. I was only curious as to why it had to be this kind of release schedule. Just didn't seem very practical to me, as I stated earlier.

Instead of 3 separate beta testing he only has to do one for this patch. Instead of trying to help bugfix and troubleshoot people with 3 separate patches, he only has to do one.

Plus I still think you guys are severely severely overestimating how big these routes are. Honestly Kokoro + Margit is probably the length of Monshiro. That's why they are combined (on top of the reasons I listed above). Kosugi is just a small bonus throw in that is super short like Iyo's mini ending in Monshiro route.
Honestly it's for everyone's own good. It'll be better it groups as the routes are all fairly short so you'll get more content per release. It's kind of like when your parents made you wait till after dinner to eat dessert.

Yandere Translations has said that the Majikoi translation may be a little slow but if someone faster is willing to take it up they can. I know your busy Pun-Kun but making time to finish up Miyako would be pretty awesome :)

Anyways, the FAQ implies there will be a download version and a physical version. Considering that its 5 separate releases, it's not that hard to believe it might be download only at first. Each one will probably be around 1 gig or so, which is quite small. Once all 5 are released (which will happen over the course of 2013, maybe stretching into 2014) they will most likely make a physical DVD pack that includes all 5.

It's 5 separate releases, each one has 2-3 routes. It's pretty much equivalent to traditional DLC. The main difference is they can be played without Majikoi S installed.

Don't get your hopes up. It's extremely doubtful as Ageha was a heroine in Kimi ga Aruji. It's quite unlikely they would have her end up with two different protagonists, even if Kimi ga isn't necessarily canon.

So, I wonder if A-4 only has two routes because they will be heavily involved with the people in around the two characters. i.e the other Chinese characters and the other 'Legendary Ten. But, I haven't played the full route in Majikoi S yet, so I could be making a fool out of myself. Anyone else have a wonder why A-4 has only 2 routes?
i think somebody already predicted it..because the route will take place outside of kawakami and i think it the routes will be a little longer than the others because it only has 2 routes.. plus the chinese girl i think it will be foursome with yamato

There is a lot to explore story/character wise with the other school and the Chinese characters. Most likely we will see some of the longest Majikoi routes out of them, Maybe even a harem or split ending for the Chinese girls.
It will never have a route. One of the conditions to have one is that there must be H-scenes. And I seriously don't dig human with robot sex, sorry to say that.
Most likely, the remaining routes will be the After S remaining ones. But since they don't have enough space for all of them, they will show it at the end as a surprise, or rather, as a way to stop fans for e-mailing constantly about why they left the other routes, which would happen if it was shown right now.
well there are only 2 spot left for A and we have margit,kokoro,tatsuko and koyuki to choose from..i hope the japanese people vote for yuki or margit...
There are plenty of novels with robot heroines... And sex is involved. Cookie 4th form would be a perfect route for one of the last two as it's unique and surprising. There's no reason they can't have sex and there's no reason they can't say "Oh, I've always been a girl AI" for Cookie. They could make Cookie stuck in the final form, etc. So many possibilities.
And where are you getting this "There must be h scenes" requirement from? Did you completely ignore all the non h scene routes in the original Majikoi?
Whether you "dig" robot/human h-scenes or not is irrelevant to what Minatosoft decides. Robot sex isn't that big of a deal in Japan when it comes to VNs and ero in general.
I'd say he is more of a Katsuragi Keima since he uses his wits in order to charm a girl compared to Rance who is trigger happy with his Hyper Weapon. Besides, As awesome as Yamato is, in his lifetime he will never reach a quarter of the Burning Badass of a man that Rance is.
- Azumi: the game hinted to that. I have a feeling they tried to put her route in Majikoi S, but weren't able to and just hinted to a possible route with her in the future, in case Majikoi A happened. And it happened. Hell yeah.
- Chinese Girls: stated before in that fake list we got before. Taking into account that they most likely will focus in the Western school, and knowing how many characters we will get background info, it was too big to put 3 releases. The same would have happened for the one I'm commenting. So they decided to make a special release and put them both together.
- Yoshitsune and Seiso: kinda obvious. As the relationship between Yamato and Yoshitsune was quite good, I was sure they would aim for a route with her, that way Benkei route wasn't the only one with clones. And for Seiso, it's basically "to complete the set". But I'm surprised they didn't aim for "common route then choose your clone".
- Takae: high ranking plus staff surprised at that fact = trying to get money for something really popular for some weird reason.
- Monshirou S: if they did Tsubame, most likely they would do Monshirou.
So yeah, it was easy to predict nearly all the list. Surprised that Lee and Stacy were in the list, specially Stacy, who had less moments with Yamato. The same goes for Sayaka, regardless of ranking. I'm sad that we will only get 2 of the 4 remaining S After because of that, if they really go for what has been said above.
And it was kind of obvious that Majikoi heroines wouldn't appear. I mean, what else could they add for them? Story complete plus epilogue. Making another is padding in a bad way. They're not stupid. And people should stop complaining about no Ageha route and go for the PSP version of KimiAru, which has release date. I'm sure anybody can easily play PSP japanese novels, I did it with Shin Koihime Musou and Lucky Star and they worked perfectly.
Takae is super sexy and fairly unique when it comes to the girls in Majikoi. She stands out, and for that I feel she is popular. Plus she's always been something of a mystery. Also she's one of the strongest girls.

Lee/Stacy/Sayaka, not that surprising if you look at the facts. Every single girl, except one (cookie 4th form), ahead on the popularity poll has a route in either Majikoi, Majikoi S, or Majikoi A. They were simply the next in line. Plus she's Mayucchi's sister, which is basically begging for content.
I'm guessing Margit will get an after route considering she was #3 on the poll. It'll most likely be a real route instead of her sex romp in S. The other unannounced route will most likely be a girl that wasn't a heroine in S or the original. I highly doubt they are leaving the final two announcements as after stories.
Tatsu already is basically an after story, so the chance of that happening was very low. So that leaves Koyuki and Kokoro. Kokoro was pretty high up but Margit beat her out and like I said before, it's pretty unlikely they are leaving two after stories to be announced last.
Koyuki would be possible, but her ranking wasn't spectacular, so Margit would beat her out and Kokoro too.
Cookie 4th form did quite well on the poll and I could see Minatosoft throwing that in as one of the remaining routes. You may find it disgusting but it's a relatively common heroine type in Japanese media.
Anyone who is expecting Ageha is delusional. Minatosoft is not going to steal her away from the protag of Kimi.

Are you serious about your Azumi analogy? You seriously don't see how that is completely different than Ageha, or do you just want Ageha so much that you are trying to convince yourself?
Azumi LIKES a side character in Majikoi (and Hideo doesn't even like her like that) and that's about it. Ageha is a heroine for the protagonist of her respective game and in her route they end up together. I've seen text with Minatosoft saying they will not make an Ageha route and they told the person who asked to play her original game.
The obvious fact that Minatosoft believes that the heroines of the game should all either be with the protagonist or no one at all should clue you in that they would not be willing to have a heroine "cheat" (They are set in the same universe, and this is precisely how Japanese fans of Kimi would take it) on her respective protagonist.
Time will tell. No need to debate this as only time will tell if they are going to use Ageha.
A bit off: I heard about 6 months ago that you can import your save game/route ending into Majikoi S and it will have some impact on the story. Is it true?

It's 5 separate releases, each one has 2-3 routes. It's pretty much equivalent to traditional DLC. The main difference is they can be played without Majikoi S installed.

ReplyDeleteDon't get your hopes up. It's extremely doubtful as Ageha was a heroine in Kimi ga Aruji. It's quite unlikely they would have her end up with two different protagonists, even if Kimi ga isn't necessarily canon.

DeleteMost likely, the remaining routes will be the After S remaining ones. But since they don't have enough space for all of them, they will show it at the end as a surprise, or rather, as a way to stop fans for e-mailing constantly about why they left the other routes, which would happen if it was shown right now.
well there are only 2 spot left for A and we have margit,kokoro,tatsuko and koyuki to choose from..i hope the japanese people vote for yuki or margit...

DeleteThere are plenty of novels with robot heroines... And sex is involved. Cookie 4th form would be a perfect route for one of the last two as it's unique and surprising. There's no reason they can't have sex and there's no reason they can't say "Oh, I've always been a girl AI" for Cookie. They could make Cookie stuck in the final form, etc. So many possibilities.
And where are you getting this "There must be h scenes" requirement from? Did you completely ignore all the non h scene routes in the original Majikoi?
Whether you "dig" robot/human h-scenes or not is irrelevant to what Minatosoft decides. Robot sex isn't that big of a deal in Japan when it comes to VNs and ero in general.

It was easy to see which ones would be released:
ReplyDelete- Azumi: the game hinted to that. I have a feeling they tried to put her route in Majikoi S, but weren't able to and just hinted to a possible route with her in the future, in case Majikoi A happened. And it happened. Hell yeah.
- Chinese Girls: stated before in that fake list we got before. Taking into account that they most likely will focus in the Western school, and knowing how many characters we will get background info, it was too big to put 3 releases. The same would have happened for the one I'm commenting. So they decided to make a special release and put them both together.
- Yoshitsune and Seiso: kinda obvious. As the relationship between Yamato and Yoshitsune was quite good, I was sure they would aim for a route with her, that way Benkei route wasn't the only one with clones. And for Seiso, it's basically "to complete the set". But I'm surprised they didn't aim for "common route then choose your clone".
- Takae: high ranking plus staff surprised at that fact = trying to get money for something really popular for some weird reason.
- Monshirou S: if they did Tsubame, most likely they would do Monshirou.
So yeah, it was easy to predict nearly all the list. Surprised that Lee and Stacy were in the list, specially Stacy, who had less moments with Yamato. The same goes for Sayaka, regardless of ranking. I'm sad that we will only get 2 of the 4 remaining S After because of that, if they really go for what has been said above.
And it was kind of obvious that Majikoi heroines wouldn't appear. I mean, what else could they add for them? Story complete plus epilogue. Making another is padding in a bad way. They're not stupid. And people should stop complaining about no Ageha route and go for the PSP version of KimiAru, which has release date. I'm sure anybody can easily play PSP japanese novels, I did it with Shin Koihime Musou and Lucky Star and they worked perfectly.
Takae is super sexy and fairly unique when it comes to the girls in Majikoi. She stands out, and for that I feel she is popular. Plus she's always been something of a mystery. Also she's one of the strongest girls.

Lee/Stacy/Sayaka, not that surprising if you look at the facts. Every single girl, except one (cookie 4th form), ahead on the popularity poll has a route in either Majikoi, Majikoi S, or Majikoi A. They were simply the next in line. Plus she's Mayucchi's sister, which is basically begging for content.
I'm guessing Margit will get an after route considering she was #3 on the poll. It'll most likely be a real route instead of her sex romp in S. The other unannounced route will most likely be a girl that wasn't a heroine in S or the original. I highly doubt they are leaving the final two announcements as after stories.
Tatsu already is basically an after story, so the chance of that happening was very low. So that leaves Koyuki and Kokoro. Kokoro was pretty high up but Margit beat her out and like I said before, it's pretty unlikely they are leaving two after stories to be announced last.
Koyuki would be possible, but her ranking wasn't spectacular, so Margit would beat her out and Kokoro too.
Cookie 4th form did quite well on the poll and I could see Minatosoft throwing that in as one of the remaining routes. You may find it disgusting but it's a relatively common heroine type in Japanese media.
Anyone who is expecting Ageha is delusional. Minatosoft is not going to steal her away from the protag of Kimi.

Are you serious about your Azumi analogy? You seriously don't see how that is completely different than Ageha, or do you just want Ageha so much that you are trying to convince yourself?
Azumi LIKES a side character in Majikoi (and Hideo doesn't even like her like that) and that's about it. Ageha is a heroine for the protagonist of her respective game and in her route they end up together. I've seen text with Minatosoft saying they will not make an Ageha route and they told the person who asked to play her original game.
The obvious fact that Minatosoft believes that the heroines of the game should all either be with the protagonist or no one at all should clue you in that they would not be willing to have a heroine "cheat" (They are set in the same universe, and this is precisely how Japanese fans of Kimi would take it) on her respective protagonist.
Time will tell. No need to debate this as only time will tell if they are going to use Ageha.
