Same hours? The Monshirou route was half a Majikoi route. The other routes are even shorter. So I don't see how it could possibly have the same hours. And its this long, because it introduces a shitload of new characters and develops some old ones.

This has 3 "long" routes (one of them is close to being on par with an original Majikoi route, the other two being a little shorter), and a bunch of shorter routes. In the end Majikoi was longer.
I think everyone has a skewed view on Majikoi S's length because Monshiro's route got released first. The majority of the routes are nowhere near that long.
Majikoi S is not a fandisc, and there are multiple reasons for that. But still, it's not as long as it could've been. Granted that's probably because the insane amount of art, music, voice actors, and characters in the game.
tsubame route is quite long also if u treat both of her route that split halfway as one. True route is definitely longggggg enough to compare with monshiro route, if not longer. Other route is just for fun and character develop on specific heroine.
