As of the last update regarding Azumi:
"Azumi is 5% translated, 0% TLC, 0% edited"
But that was WAY back on Feb the 8th so that is probably severely outdated by now some 8weeks later.
Most likely that is the original .exe that comes with the game. If you havn't bought the license then you won't be able to play because of the protection (DRM style) on the game.
I in no way condone it but with a quick google search you can find ways around it.

Do you guys have a QCer that goes through and makes sure that there are no typos/grammar errors? Cause I'm finding a lot of in both grammar and spacing. ie: random spacing and line breaks.
I dunno if the line breaks are just me and my toaster laptop, but the grammar mistakes are definitely there. There were less of these back in the original and S.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, cause I love the work you guys do. I guess just think of this as a heads up that QC could use a bit of work.
There was no QC really because I didn't feel like making everybody wait 2-3 weeks before releasing the patch. I'll probably just hold onto the next patch (Benkei's route) for a while even after it's done so this doesn't happen again.
It sounds more like an install problem, or that you don't meet the requirements to run it. But that's pretty unlikely now days. This probably won't have anything to do with this site, I suggest you try some self-troubleshooting or look around on forums somewhere.
I had to change the Direct X settings, which you get to using the games Launcher.exe. I don't understand any of the options. I just clicked around til I found 2 Radio buttons with Direct in the text and choose the other one.
Anyone else having the same problems when i try to go to the replay scene the game crash when i apply the patch but if i put the original script its working normally
Just finished the Tsubame route, and I find this incredible surprise. Thank you so much for you work in bringing Majikoi goodness to us who have not yet reached your levels of Japanese mastery.
Someone above said that they ran the DirectX patch that comes with the installer for the game and that fixed their sprite problem, perhaps that's something to look into.
Is it Azumi or Benkei next? I hope Benkei or maybe Azumi because I hear you can see some time skips and see what some of the characters are when they're older.
It's sad that the translation is so broken, yandere doesn't give any sign of life with miyako's route on 1st game...why did they have to stop on the best route ;.;
S was done pretty good from what I saw, BUT...it seems that there are new projects going on, and i'm not sure if it's a good idea. I'm afraid that there will be too much to do and it will end bad as in either dropping a project only half-done or taking too much time to do everything and at some point everything will "crash". It's better if you guys would focus on a single project and do it at full power than dividing that power in several parts and being less efficient
S it's a pretty big game, and shouldn't be taken lightly, look at majikoi and how the current things are, you don't know what the future holds, and I don't want this to end up like yandere and majikoi. It would be a shame if the time spent by you guys in translating this game would result in an half done job.
While that's true it is after all there choice ultimately. Also if you have ever tried to come home after work and focus solely on one thing then you know how difficult it is to do.
I think people should try and view this as them trying to diverse themselves and explore other Visual novels rather than them getting distracted. But I guess we'll see.
They explained already that a different translator is doing Sayaka's route and possibly more, the translator for S is doing S, Sayaka's translator, so aptly named SayakaTL was doing Sayaka. The ones doing S are still focusing on it, they were just able to find more bodies to start on the other game.
Hello, Ganon, I'm new into programming and such, but I'm really interested in it. Is there any way that you could tell me how you managed to extract the .pac files, and how you managed to rebuild them? I'm very new to all this, but would very much like to learn how you manage to do all of this. Thank you in advance.
Depends on the programming language you're using and how to go about it. I don't do any of that, nor do I understand it so asking me wouldn't get you very far at all.
You only need to get the latest one. The newer will contain all the old. Although I don't know why that should be a problem yet since this is the first patch for majikoiA-1
Replay mode breaks the game for me too. Well, I'm not playing this route for the H, so it's not an issue. I can just make a save at a convenient point. However, it's probably an issue that should be looked into for the next patch, if it is this patches fault.
...It didn't seem like that. It seemed more like Chris couldn't understand her at all because she didn't know the language, even though she's from Germany. Another joke about Chris loving Japan way too much.

Well actually Lee will be in A-3 not the next one. which currently doesn't have a release date but I imagine it will be released sometime around the last quarter of this year. Also included in A-3 are Stacy and Tsubame After.

Ahaha, I actually wouldn't/didn't know if she had a route in S(Though now you've mentioned it I'm going to dedicate my free time tomorrow to finding it). I was just piecing things together from the ending of other routes and info I read on the wiki. So I wouldn't be able to confirm anything >_<

and i am not quite sure to be honest, i had all the routes unlocked [aside from hers ofcourse] but i noticed there was this one route not "cleared" i cleared it and the Tachibana route popped up. its quite short sadly i'm hoping Majikoi A will make up for it =]

Argh well I don't know what I havn't done but it's obviously something. I have 35/35 cleared atm and no more visible. I'm only missing 2 CG scenes (I bet that it's Tachibana) and I'm only missing one Replay (also her probably). I am missing 5 events though (quite a few, more than just Tachibana most likely). I guess I'll just continue to hunt for it.
IRC or "internet relay chat" is basically what the name suggests it's a chat system. there are sites that host entrances such as "rizon" to IRC but you can also download clients that do the same thing but you run them directly instead of through your browser. there are different chat's all within the system and you choose one(or more) to join. This sites channel is #Wairu(as you can imagine). Some channels such as Wairus' require authentication of some type. There are a few different means but generally it's like everything else, you just sign in to the Server(NickServer) with a account name and password.
i'm not sure i understand it quite right XD but i'll see what i can do about that xP but odds are i'll give up soon lol.
anyways, right before i got the Tachibana route, i was playing the "future with Tsubame 2" i finished it and it unlocked. once i played the Tachibana one and finished it, when i go to the "route selection menu" on the top right it says "all clear" if you don't have that, then you should keep trying, but if you got it, then the Tachibana route is just above Tsubame's
Think I found it. You have to watch all the exit credits. It's going to take me a long time seeing as there are like 100+ of them and you get a random one each time.
...Yeah... I got all 130... Nothing happened... I died on the inside...
I've just run through the entire game twice again(skipping then fast forwarding) and I've done every choice at least once. Cleared every single route, and it still didn't show up.
So currently: 100% Staff room, 100% Skits, 100% Movie, 97.9% Events(185/189), 100% Music, 97.9% Replay(47/48), 1152 CG (about 99% I assume but I couldn't find the total CG count anywhere so I have nothing to compare it to).
Well I feel like a noob. *SPOILER WARNING* I didn't realise that there were actually two routes that spawned from the tutorial. I got the first one ages ago and thought that, that was all there was. I couldn't tell from the "start game" because it had "cleared" on it. So I went around hunting on some Japanese sites and all of them just said that you unlocked Tachibana(橘) after completing every other route, so needless to say that didn't help. Then I ran across this "http://harusuki3.sakura.ne.jp/sblo_files/harusuki2/image/120219-18.jpg" and that's when I noticed that there were actually 2 routes from the tutorial....
But I guess it wasn't a complete waste, after all I now have a complete 100%save XD
oh ya! i totally forgot about the tutorial. i only did it once, and only by chance did i do it again while i was fiddling with the CG's and stuff in the gallery and i did the other option when i found myself doing the tutorial.
i didn't think much of it, because before it i had done the Tsubame 2nd afterstory as i mentioned, so that's why i thought that was the requirement.
sorry for misleading you, wasn't intentional. but hope you enjoy the Takae one =] i didn't quite understand much, but i sure enjoyed the interactions, i kind of guessed everything regarding to it, but i was still amused nonetheless haha.
I also skimmed through Benkie's route too interesting to say the least. some very interesting woman makes an appearance in it, but that's about all i will say for now lest someone rips me to pieces. Personally speaking I love spoilers XD but i can't say the same for everyone else...
I can hardly wait for the next patch. Though I admit I have yet to finish Sayaka's route, mostly because I am conflicted about the semi-lolli-ness of her. I mean... ahh.. I don't know, she just feels like a slightly bigger, more mature Monshiro... but I'll still play it thank you very much Pun-kun. Just a bit reluctant ahaha.

@Anon, Tatsuko's route is a bit like margit's and momoyo's in the way that there is a lot of CG ;)
@Soran, don't worry about it dude, I wouldn't even have known that Tachibana had a route if it wasn't for you. Have to say I havn't played much of A yet cause I was busy finishing S. Don't worry if you didn't understand Tachibana's it was more of a character intro than anything actually happening.
I've been hearing rumors as of late that TJ may be passing over translation of Majikoi (presumably the true route) to you guys once he's done with Miyako's route? Is tere any trut to his or is it just a rumor?

Konta-Kun: I know as of February 8th Azumi had around 5% translated but that's probably way outdated but now. As for Benkei they said it was "maybe" but Ganon said in a post in this comment form that Benkei patch was next. So who knows *shrugs*
I have no idea what's doing what. Apparently it starts up fine if I hold ctrl and press the start option to speed up the game but pressing it normally always causes a freeze. It might be a crack thing since it froze up on a newly downloaded copy of it.
What is happening is that you have too many things running in the background, and your computer can't handle it all. Ctrl+Alt+Supr and look at Administration Task, in Processes or whatever it is in English. Close those that are consuming way too much.
But if you don't have any idea about what I'm talking about, reseting the computer should close those programs that are consuming too much. Just don't open too many things at the same time.
Believe me, a lot of people never thinks that restarting can solve the problem. If you are working in solving computer problems in a business, you would be surprised at the amount of people that do not think about that solution. It's a sad reality I live in.
Unless you've bought the game legally the application that comes with it won't work. Search Google for ways around it, no one official here will give you a link as it's illegal.
I agree with Boka, I don't really go for loli but Mon was alright and what I have played so far of Sayaka she is good. Plus that saves the best for last XD
No offense to miyako but momoyo's better <3 Plus I played all that anyway, the story for miyako's route was rather bland. I much prefer chris's route for story. Or Agave route cause that was pretty action packed toward the end.
I'm getting a better understanding of Jap, I was able to pretty much translate the entirety of the Hermit Crab route in S.
*SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILER*
Yamato is still madly in love with his hermit crabs so Miyako, Momo, and Wanko decide to do something about it. Momo decides it's her duty as an older sister to get help so she goes and asks the archery club leader Yumiko from 3F some advice since shes an outsider to the Kazama family.
She sort of see this as a chance to help Miyako who is also in the archery club and suggests homemade cooking (Momo comments on *I think* Mayuchi is busy and Miyako's weird sense of taste and decides to ask Yumiko for help) and Momo puts in some weird mushroom where Yamato starts getting hot inside and excited by Yumiko.
Yamato attacks her and starts kissing her while avoiding attacks and finally pins her down. Sex scene with or without glasses.
Don't wanna say the whole thing here but of course it's a very short route. If I can get a better understanding of some of this maybe I can help out some of the Translations of S.
P.S Koyuki's story at the beginning about the Hamster made me chuckle.
Sounds like you got the jist of it down. The problem for me when I did some TL is that I'm much better at verbal rather than written. So I would be fine with anything except narration text and Yamato. Needless to say that was extremely annoying. Then also I had to run through with a mental thesaurus if you will and flavor up the text a little more so it wasn't dull to read.
In short though all I can say is gratz seeing as I'm no one important >_< just thought that you should consider the above ;)
Yeah goin through that route was mostly just replaying the lines over and over again cuz I too am better with verbal but I also did some written TLC goin through it and it helps quite a bit.
It was challenging and I'm tempted to do the same for Benkei cuz I hate waiting but I may wait cuz Wairu will def have a better Translation that when I read it, lol.
sup guys first of all i want to thank you guys for doing such a great and thankless job as you are doing :P the transladations are great and just wanted to ask if you plan to transladate all of majikoi S and A or just do some routes or if you are just taking your time with each route and seeing what you will do just asking either way thank you for taking your time to do the transladations :)
You can still do everything in English as far as I'm aware even while Japanese is set to default. But if you want to you can change it each time your going to play a Japanese game, though that does require a restart every time.
In short you only have to have the Japanese on to play the Japanese games. So yes it should be fine.
you could try a certain software ... app locale ... everytime you need to start the game ... juz right click on the game exe and choose run with japanese locale then you could play without changing your system locale ... xD
- Yamato will inherit Kuki's surname. There's a voice sample of the Prime Minister saying "Congratulations, Kuki Yamato". Though that was kind of obvious. - We may start seeing new characters/CG next update, which is next Friday. - There's a new character that will most likely appear in Monshirou route only. Kinda like Musashi Bunta only appearing in Benkei route. Probably, it will be introduced next week.
How I will play Majikoi A-2: Monshirou -> Seiso -> Cookie 4is. My favourite thing in VNs is seeing the MC and the chosen girl marrying, or seeing their future selves with children. Something that should be done more often. So yeah, digging Monshirou first. It's a pity we only saw Azumi pregnant, I would have prefered to see her with her children.
Also, in case you're wondering what Seiso route is about, apparently she starts wondering whose clone she is, and asks the Kazama family for help. Also, a main point in her route is Seiso switching between her neat personality and her Maou personality.
Monshirou is about her and Yamato marrying. Simple as that.
Cookie4is is about the development of a new Cookie, aka Cookie4is, that is put in the dormitory where Yamato and some of his friends live, probably for testing purposes. And as Cookie 4, it has been designed to have "emotions", like love....... give me Kokoro or Koyuki After route, ffs.

Patch causes any replay mode to crash says NEXAS error or something
ReplyDeleteWell I don't know if this helps but NeXAS is the engine that majikoi runs in.
DeleteI can't offer you any advice apart from try running it as administrator sorry, maybe someone else can.
There seem to be a few NEXAS related errors, mine was fixed by uninstalling the "Security Update for Windows Vista (KB2758857)." Hope this helps.

DeleteThey explained already that a different translator is doing Sayaka's route and possibly more, the translator for S is doing S, Sayaka's translator, so aptly named SayakaTL was doing Sayaka. The ones doing S are still focusing on it, they were just able to find more bodies to start on the other game.

ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not playing this route for the H, so it's not an issue. I can just make a save at a convenient point. However, it's probably an issue that should be looked into for the next patch, if it is this patches fault.
There are some typos in the translation, but I'm too lazy too write them up.

Argh well I don't know what I havn't done but it's obviously something. I have 35/35 cleared atm and no more visible. I'm only missing 2 CG scenes (I bet that it's Tachibana) and I'm only missing one Replay (also her probably). I am missing 5 events though (quite a few, more than just Tachibana most likely). I guess I'll just continue to hunt for it.
DeleteIRC or "internet relay chat" is basically what the name suggests it's a chat system. there are sites that host entrances such as "rizon" to IRC but you can also download clients that do the same thing but you run them directly instead of through your browser. there are different chat's all within the system and you choose one(or more) to join. This sites channel is #Wairu(as you can imagine). Some channels such as Wairus' require authentication of some type. There are a few different means but generally it's like everything else, you just sign in to the Server(NickServer) with a account name and password.
i'm not sure i understand it quite right XD but i'll see what i can do about that xP but odds are i'll give up soon lol.
Deleteanyways, right before i got the Tachibana route, i was playing the "future with Tsubame 2" i finished it and it unlocked. once i played the Tachibana one and finished it, when i go to the "route selection menu" on the top right it says "all clear" if you don't have that, then you should keep trying, but if you got it, then the Tachibana route is just above Tsubame's
Think I found it. You have to watch all the exit credits. It's going to take me a long time seeing as there are like 100+ of them and you get a random one each time.

DeleteI've just run through the entire game twice again(skipping then fast forwarding) and I've done every choice at least once. Cleared every single route, and it still didn't show up.
So currently:
100% Staff room,
100% Skits,
100% Movie,
97.9% Events(185/189),
100% Music,
97.9% Replay(47/48),
1152 CG (about 99% I assume but I couldn't find the total CG count anywhere so I have nothing to compare it to).

I didn't realise that there were actually two routes that spawned from the tutorial. I got the first one ages ago and thought that, that was all there was. I couldn't tell from the "start game" because it had "cleared" on it. So I went around hunting on some Japanese sites and all of them just said that you unlocked Tachibana(橘) after completing every other route, so needless to say that didn't help. Then I ran across this "http://harusuki3.sakura.ne.jp/sblo_files/harusuki2/image/120219-18.jpg" and that's when I noticed that there were actually 2 routes from the tutorial....
But I guess it wasn't a complete waste, after all I now have a complete 100%save XD
I thought Kosugi was the only one that popped from the tutorial?

I can hardly wait for the next patch. Though I admit I have yet to finish Sayaka's route, mostly because I am conflicted about the semi-lolli-ness of her. I mean... ahh.. I don't know, she just feels like a slightly bigger, more mature Monshiro... but I'll still play it thank you very much Pun-kun. Just a bit reluctant ahaha.

@Soran, don't worry about it dude, I wouldn't even have known that Tachibana had a route if it wasn't for you. Have to say I havn't played much of A yet cause I was busy finishing S. Don't worry if you didn't understand Tachibana's it was more of a character intro than anything actually happening.

DeleteKonta-Kun: I know as of February 8th Azumi had around 5% translated but that's probably way outdated but now. As for Benkei they said it was "maybe" but Ganon said in a post in this comment form that Benkei patch was next. So who knows *shrugs*
Patch seems to break the game. I can load saves but starting a new game freezes it.

I have no idea what's doing what. Apparently it starts up fine if I hold ctrl and press the start option to speed up the game but pressing it normally always causes a freeze. It might be a crack thing since it froze up on a newly downloaded copy of it.

DeleteWhat is happening is that you have too many things running in the background, and your computer can't handle it all. Ctrl+Alt+Supr and look at Administration Task, in Processes or whatever it is in English. Close those that are consuming way too much.
But if you don't have any idea about what I'm talking about, reseting the computer should close those programs that are consuming too much. Just don't open too many things at the same time.

Yamato is still madly in love with his hermit crabs so Miyako, Momo, and Wanko decide to do something about it. Momo decides it's her duty as an older sister to get help so she goes and asks the archery club leader Yumiko from 3F some advice since shes an outsider to the Kazama family.
She sort of see this as a chance to help Miyako who is also in the archery club and suggests homemade cooking (Momo comments on *I think* Mayuchi is busy and Miyako's weird sense of taste and decides to ask Yumiko for help) and Momo puts in some weird mushroom where Yamato starts getting hot inside and excited by Yumiko.
Yamato attacks her and starts kissing her while avoiding attacks and finally pins her down. Sex scene with or without glasses.
Don't wanna say the whole thing here but of course it's a very short route. If I can get a better understanding of some of this maybe I can help out some of the Translations of S.
P.S Koyuki's story at the beginning about the Hamster made me chuckle.
Sounds like you got the jist of it down. The problem for me when I did some TL is that I'm much better at verbal rather than written. So I would be fine with anything except narration text and Yamato. Needless to say that was extremely annoying. Then also I had to run through with a mental thesaurus if you will and flavor up the text a little more so it wasn't dull to read.

Yeah goin through that route was mostly just replaying the lines over and over again cuz I too am better with verbal but I also did some written TLC goin through it and it helps quite a bit.

ReplyDeleteYou can still do everything in English as far as I'm aware even while Japanese is set to default. But if you want to you can change it each time your going to play a Japanese game, though that does require a restart every time.
DeleteIn short you only have to have the Japanese on to play the Japanese games. So yes it should be fine.
you could try a certain software ... app locale ... everytime you need to start the game ... juz right click on the game exe and choose run with japanese locale then you could play without changing your system locale ... xD

The new update in Majikoi A website reveals:
ReplyDelete- Yamato will inherit Kuki's surname. There's a voice sample of the Prime Minister saying "Congratulations, Kuki Yamato". Though that was kind of obvious.
- We may start seeing new characters/CG next update, which is next Friday.
- There's a new character that will most likely appear in Monshirou route only. Kinda like Musashi Bunta only appearing in Benkei route. Probably, it will be introduced next week.
How I will play Majikoi A-2: Monshirou -> Seiso -> Cookie 4is. My favourite thing in VNs is seeing the MC and the chosen girl marrying, or seeing their future selves with children. Something that should be done more often. So yeah, digging Monshirou first. It's a pity we only saw Azumi pregnant, I would have prefered to see her with her children.
Also, in case you're wondering what Seiso route is about, apparently she starts wondering whose clone she is, and asks the Kazama family for help. Also, a main point in her route is Seiso switching between her neat personality and her Maou personality.

Cookie4is is about the development of a new Cookie, aka Cookie4is, that is put in the dormitory where Yamato and some of his friends live, probably for testing purposes. And as Cookie 4, it has been designed to have "emotions", like love....... give me Kokoro or Koyuki After route, ffs.
